Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data the Digitox mobile app ("the App"), the Digitox affiliate website, and the Digitox affiliate/admin dashboards (together, "the Services") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to App users and to participants in the Digitox Affiliate Program ("Affiliates").

1. Overview

Digitox is built to need as little personal data as possible to work. We do not require you to create an account or log in to use the core locking/timer feature of the App. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

2. Data Collected by the App

• A device identifier. The App reads your device's Android ID (a standard identifier built into Android, not your Google Advertising ID) so that if you were referred by an affiliate, that connection survives an uninstall and reinstall of the App on the same device. This identifier does not reveal your name, email, or anything else about you on its own.
• Session & usage statistics. The App records when a focus session starts, completes naturally, or is ended early via a paid unlock, so we can show you your own stats, calculate community statistics (e.g. total hours locked across all users), and calculate affiliate commissions where relevant. We do not record what you were doing on your phone, your browsing activity, or the contents of any app you use.
• Purchase information. If you choose to pay to unlock a session early, that payment is processed by Google Play's billing system. We receive confirmation that a purchase happened and its amount, but we never see or store your card details — Google handles that entirely.
• Crash & diagnostic data. Like most apps, we may receive basic technical diagnostics (e.g. app version, device model, crash logs) to help us fix bugs.

3. Data Collected from Affiliates

If you sign up for the Affiliate Program, we additionally collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, and country.
• The channel(s) you plan to promote on (e.g. Instagram, YouTube) and up to three links to those pages/profiles.
• Your payout details (UPI ID, or bank account name, number, IFSC/SWIFT code, and bank name) — needed so we can actually pay you.
• A record of every payout we make to you, including the amount, date, a note, and a screenshot of the transfer as proof — visible to you in your dashboard and to the Digitox admin team.
• Your account password, which we store only as a securely hashed value — we cannot see or recover your actual password.

4. How We Use This Data

• To operate the App's core locking/timer feature and show you your own usage stats.
• To attribute a referred install to the correct affiliate and calculate commissions accurately.
• To review and approve or reject affiliate applications, and to detect fraud or abuse of the referral system.
• To pay affiliates and keep an accurate, auditable record of what has and hasn't been paid.
• To respond to support requests sent to us (e.g. via the "Contact Admin" button in the affiliate dashboard).

5. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the Services, who are only permitted to use it to provide that service to us:

• Google Play / RevenueCat — to process in-app purchases and manage purchase entitlements.
• Our email provider — to send account verification and password-reset emails.
• Our hosting provider — to run the affiliate website and store the data described above.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Digitox, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

• App usage statistics are retained in aggregate to show long-term community stats, and individually for as long as your device keeps using the App.
• Affiliate account data, including payout history and payment proof screenshots, is retained for the lifetime of your affiliate relationship with us and for at least five (5) years afterward, for financial record-keeping and dispute-resolution purposes. We do not delete this data earlier than that, even if you stop being an active affiliate.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, or (subject to the retention requirement in Section 6 for financial records) delete personal data we are not legally required to keep. Contact us using the details below to make a request.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data described above, including hashing passwords and restricting admin access to a small, named set of accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored by the Services.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
