Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Digitox mobile application ("the App"), the Digitox affiliate website and dashboard (together, "the Services"), and your participation in the Digitox Affiliate Program, operated by the Digitox team ("Digitox", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by signing up for the Affiliate Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Digitox App

Digitox is a digital-wellbeing application that lets you lock your Android device's screen for a period you choose, to help you avoid distraction during study, work, sleep, or any other activity you set a session for. While a session is active, the App restricts access to other apps and functions on your device until the session ends naturally, or you choose to end it early as described below.

• Digitox is a self-discipline tool. It is not a parental-control, child-safety, or device-management product, and must not be relied upon as one.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring you are not locked out of your device at a time you may need it for a genuine emergency. The App provides mechanisms (such as call-detection pausing) to reduce this risk, but you use the App, and choose your session durations, at your own discretion and risk.
• Digitox does not guarantee any particular outcome (productivity, focus, habit change, or otherwise) from using the App.

2. Payments & Refunds

Digitox does not charge a subscription. The only charge in the App is an optional, one-time fee to end an active session early ("Early Unlock"). This charge is processed entirely through Google Play's billing system; Digitox never collects or stores your card or payment details directly.

• The Early Unlock price is shown in the App before you confirm the purchase, in your local currency as set by Google Play.
• Because Early Unlock is a one-time digital purchase that is fulfilled immediately (it unlocks your device right away), it is generally non-refundable once completed, except where required by applicable law or by Google Play's own refund policies. Refund requests for a Google Play purchase should be raised directly with Google Play, who will involve us where necessary.
• We do not control, and are not responsible for, outages, delays, or errors in Google Play's billing systems.

3. Digitox Affiliate Program

The Digitox Affiliate Program lets approved individuals ("Affiliates") earn a commission for new users who install the App through their unique referral link or code and go on to pay for an Early Unlock.

3.1 Application & Approval

• Signing up for the Affiliate Program does not guarantee acceptance. Every application is reviewed by the Digitox team before the account can log in and before any referral activity is eligible for commission.
• We may approve, reject, or later suspend any Affiliate account at our sole discretion, including (without limitation) where we suspect fraudulent, misleading, spammy, or abusive promotion; where the promotion channels disclosed at signup are inactive, fake, or materially misrepresented; or where required by law.
• You must provide accurate name, contact, promotion-channel, and payout details at signup, and keep them up to date. Providing false information is grounds for rejection or termination without payout of pending commissions.

3.2 Commission & Attribution

• The current commission structure and minimum payout threshold are shown on the affiliate website and in your affiliate dashboard; they may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice posted on the site. As of the date above: Digitox pays ₹20.80 per completed, paid Early Unlock attributable to a user you referred, with no limit on the number of referred users or the duration of the attribution tie. Minimum payout threshold: ₹1,000 (approx. $10), reviewed monthly.
• A referred user is tied to your referral code for the lifetime of that person's use of the App (including across an uninstall and reinstall on the same device), not merely for a single install. This tie can break if the user resets their device, changes devices, or if required by a platform or legal change outside our control.
• We calculate commissions based on our own backend records of session and purchase events. These records are final for the purpose of determining amounts owed, subject to Section 7 below.
• Digitox may withhold, reverse, or decline to pay a commission that we reasonably believe resulted from fraud, self-referral abuse, incentivized/bot installs, or any other manipulation of the referral system.

3.3 Payouts

• Payouts are made manually by the Digitox team via UPI or bank transfer to the payout details you provide, once your pending balance meets the minimum threshold, on a monthly cycle.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the payout details you provide. Digitox is not liable for a payment sent to payout details you provided incorrectly or failed to update.
• You are solely responsible for any tax obligations, reporting, or declarations arising from commissions you earn. Digitox does not withhold tax on your behalf and does not provide tax advice.
• A record of every payout made to you, including the amount, date, and proof of transfer, is kept and made visible to you in your affiliate dashboard, and is retained by Digitox for at least five (5) years from the date of payment.

3.4 Promotion Rules

• You may only promote the App truthfully. You may not make false claims about the App's features, effects, pricing, or affiliation with Digitox.
• You may not use paid search ads on Digitox's own brand terms, spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or any method that violates the terms of the platform you are promoting on (Instagram, YouTube, etc.) or applicable law.
• You are an independent participant in the Affiliate Program, not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of Digitox. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to bypass the App's locking, timer, or payment mechanisms; use the Services for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other users' accounts, or Digitox's systems; or interfere with the proper functioning of the App or website.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, the affiliate website, and all associated branding, content, and code are owned by Digitox or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of that intellectual property to you. Affiliates are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use Digitox's name and provided marketing assets solely to promote the App under this program, for as long as their Affiliate account remains approved and active.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digitox and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost income, lost data, or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the App, the affiliate website, or participation in the Affiliate Program. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total commissions actually paid to you (for Affiliates) or the total amount you paid for Early Unlocks in the preceding twelve (12) months (for App users), whichever applies.

7. Disputes & Final Decision

We will always try to resolve any concern fairly and will explain our reasoning if asked. You can reach us at the contact details below with any dispute before it is treated as final.

8. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or your Affiliate account at any time, with or without notice, for a violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or if required by law or by Google Play's policies. You may stop using the App or request closure of your Affiliate account at any time by contacting us. Sections 3.3, 6, 7, and 10 survive termination.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved as described in Section 7 shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
